国家杰出青年基金获得者,科技部全球变化国家重大科学计划(973)首席科学家。1988年毕业于兰州大学生物学系; 1998年在中国科学院植物研究所获得博士学位; 1999-2002年在哈佛大学进化生物学系从事博士后研究。2002年至今在北京大学生态学系工作。2009年入选中国科学院西北高原生物研究所“百人计划”。 现任兰州大学草地农业生态系统国家重点实验室主任、草地农业科技学院教授。
主要从事草地生态系统碳循环、生物多样性、化学计量生态学等方面的教学和科研工作。主要的成绩包括:
1           系统研究了我国草地土壤有机碳和无机碳的变化规律和控制因子,阐明了我国草地优势植物以及土壤的C 、N、P化学计量特征及影响因素(GCB,Oecologia, Biogeosciences 等);
2           系统研究了中国草地优势植物功能属性特征,发现青藏高原极端环境下植物生态功能属性之间的关系遵循热带、温带地区的规律,证明植物生态属性之间存在趋同演化关系 (Ecology, New Phytol 等);
3           研究了青藏高原草地地上和地下地生物多样性和生态系统多功能性的关系,发现地下生物多样性和地上生物多样性一样,对生态系统功能有重要影响,未来的气候变化直接影响到生态系统多功能性(Nature Communications, GEB 等);
4           基于长期监测和实验的研究,发现青藏高原的温暖化会降低高寒草地的生产力稳定性(Nature Communications),而气候变化引起的物种组成的改变,引起了植物根系垂直分布的变化,这在草地生产力维持过程中起到关键的作用(PNAS);
5           在青藏高原海北高寒草地生态系统国家野外科学观测研究站,主持建立了国际先进的全球变化研究平台,包括“增温-降水”控制实验、高寒草地养分调控实验、高寒湿地温室气体排放监测系统及水位影响的实验。
先后主持科研项目20余项,包括科技部国家重大科学计划项目、国家自然科学基金重点项目、面上项目、杰出青年基金项目、中国科学院战略性先导科技专项课题等。2001年以来,先后在PNAS、Nature Communications、Ecology、Ecology Letters、New Phytologist等国际主流刊物发表SCI论文110 余篇,总计被SCI他人引用4900余次。
